Band of the Day is a gorgeous app in iOS, and there is also a beautiful web-version available as well.  Band of the day delivers a unique, new artist each day.

NPR Music by NPR – free on iOS

NPR Music looks and sounds amazing.  It is a wonderful guide to new music in all genres. Give it a listen!

doubleTwist Player by doubleTwist – free on Android

doubleTwist allows Android users to sync their music and playlists from their mac/pc to their Android device wirelessly (with $4.99 purchase of Airsync), or via cable.  This is a great solution for users that want their iTunes music on their Android device.  There are a lot of other features that doubleTwist offers, such as podcasts (in-app purchase), alarm clock ($1.99), and more.  Listen to the podcast for more information!
